Torchwood DVD Plot
The series is set in Cardiff and follows the Welsh branch of a secret agency called the Torchwood Institute which investigates extraterrestrial incidents on Earth and captured alien technology for its own use, its origin is described in the episode of Doctor Who "tooth and nail." As the opening monologue explaining that the organization is separate from the state, outside the police and beyond the United Nations. Their public perception is just as a group "Special Ops".The events of the first series take place some time after the Doctor Who series two finale, in which Torchwood's London headquarters was destroyed. This format was maintained during the first two series. Season three, a miniseries, then Cardiff headquarters completely destroyed, and the team temporarily operating as a refugee in England's capital London, the composition and organization carefully dry off in the course of the series.
