The Walking Dead DVD Plot

The first season focuses on the primary Rick Grimes, who was shot and was in a coma for an indefinite period of time, after which he wakes up as part of a post-apocalyptic world overrun Walking Dead. He discovers that his wife and son have disappeared, and after arming for the perilous journey from Atlanta, where he says the CDC have established a quarantine in a secure area of ??the city and his family can be hidden. However, soon discovers that the town is invaded by "walkers", and it is no longer safe.

I've seen dozens of Zombie movies, mostly bad, and mostly for the comedy and makeup factors, but this TV series breaks the molds. The writing, the acting, the pacing, the Zombies, the story line, the unpredictability of it make this series so refreshing, so surprising, so wonderful it's no wonder it's an instant hit. These are shows I can watch again and again. I hope the series holds up, I really do.
