Have you heard of any stories about Paris Hilton and her friends ?All that fame, beauty and wealth and yet she still can’t find a true friend.
Not content with a BFF in Britain and Dubai, the hotel heiress has decided she needs a buddy on her home turf, the good ol’ US-of-A.
Step forward 16 girls and two boys who have presumably been whittled down from an avalanche of applicants to make sure they’re not too stalkery/deluded.
They all want to be Paris' pal. And how better to prove their love than through a series of tests in which they'll attempt to bitch and backstab their way into the bleached one’s good books.
Because that’s the perfect way to make a new, trustworthy friend, right?
What’s in it for Paris is a new best friend of course (read: chance to be on the small screen for the next couple of months), but what can her new bezzie mate expect? Soul baring and late-night secret sharing? Screams of laughter and an incomparable feeling of us against the world? Someone to hold your hair when you’re sick?
Doubt it. We rather suspect being Paris’ BFF involves a few nights out in too few clothes playing second fiddle to the original 'it' girl. Brilliant.
Regardless of what they get in the end, how they get there is rather brilliant, trashy TV, and although we hate ourselves a little bit for saying this, we know we’ll be glued to our screen.
